He began playing the double bass in different Bluegrass bands in Montpellier and Nîmes before joining the Foxtroc band in 1985 and then the Caroline Jazz Band at its creation in 1986.

Expert of double bass Slap, he seems to be born for this instrument, perfectly serving the solidity of his way of playing and the stability of his mood.

Deeply inspired by the Willie Dixon’s and the Milt Hinton’s way of playing, he played 8 years in the Vintage Jazzmen band, which performed in Louisiana, in the Baptist chuches with the Reverend Lucien Garrett, at « New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival » and in the « Preservation Hall », mythic temple of the New Orlean’s jazz.
